Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Underarm Removal.

Most clients need between six and eight treatments spaced four to six weeks apart, though skin type, hair color, and hormonal factors affect results. After the initial series, occasional maintenance sessions may be recommended to sustain long-term reduction.

You may feel brief warmth or snapping sensations during Underarm Removal, usually mild. We use cooling systems and topical numbing if needed. Any discomfort typically subsides quickly, and most clients describe the treatment as tolerable.

Avoid waxing, plucking, or epilating for four to six weeks before Underarm Removal because the laser targets hair follicles. Shaving is allowed up to a day before treatment. Also avoid heavy sun exposure and topical products on treatment day.

Common side effects include temporary redness, swelling, or mild sensitivity. Rarely blistering, hyperpigmentation, or scarring can occur—especially with recent tanning or improper aftercare. We perform consultations and patch tests to minimize risks and provide clear post-care instructions.

Shave the underarm area 24 hours before your Underarm Removal appointment. Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and photosensitizing medications beforehand. Arrive with clean, deodorant-free skin and disclose medical history, medications, and skincare products to your technician.

Underarm Removal is not recommended for pregnant clients, those on certain photosensitizing medications, or individuals with active skin infections or recent tanning. People prone to keloids or with specific medical conditions should consult our specialists for personalized evaluation and patch testing.
