Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Lip and Chin Threading.

Most clients enjoy smoothness for three to six weeks depending on hair growth cycles and hormones. Regular threading every four to six weeks keeps the area tidy and prolongs the appearance of finer regrowth.

Threading can cause brief discomfort but is generally well tolerated. Our technicians use precise technique to minimize pain; topical numbing is rarely needed. Avoid caffeine and heavy painkillers before your appointment for best comfort.

We recommend waiting at least two to four hours before applying makeup to reduce infection risk and irritation. If you must wear makeup immediately, use clean, non-comedogenic products and avoid heavy creams on freshly-threaded skin.

We avoid threading over active cold sores, open wounds, severe rosacea, or recently treated chemical peels. Inform your technician about skin conditions or medications so we can recommend safe alternatives or postpone the service if necessary.

Hair is removed at the root for immediate smoothness; regrowth appears gradually and often feels finer. With routine appointments every four to six weeks, many clients notice softer, less dense hair within a few sessions.

Aftercare includes keeping the area clean, avoiding touching, hot showers, saunas, and exfoliation for 24 to 48 hours. Apply soothing gel or aloe if needed and avoid heavy makeup to prevent irritation and infection.
